DISA Autonomous Maintenance Technician – Foundry Division

We have an exciting opportunity for a DISA Autonomous Maintenance Technician based at our Foundry Duport Tipton site.  The purpose of the role is to perform all housekeeping duties for our DISA machinery including all ancillary equipment.  You will be trained to specific tasks but must be able to work within confined spaces and at heights. The position is a physically demanding role that will involve heavy lifting in a foundry environment and therefore experience of working in a similar heavy industrial setting is essential.

A flexible approach is needed towards working hours at short notice to meet business needs, overtime may be requested to cover busy periods. The role may also involve weekend working. 

Shift pattern;

  • Monday to Thursday – 1130 to 2000/ Friday – 1130 to 1900


Your bit… 

  • To undertake all routine APM tasks
  • Provide efficient remedial repair/improvements on specific machinery & equipment
  • Keep inside of machinery clean, report all oil leaks and spillages
  • Comply with scheduling time to ensure minimum 4 hours daily for APM / housekeeping when operations have ceased
  • To communicate to Preventative Maintenance Technicians any areas for improvement
  • Train to partly deputise for key roles in DISA team including TPM technician
  • Ensure that all departmental TDL quality procedures are implemented and maintained
  • Perform all tasks with minimal supervision, in a prompt, safe, efficient, work like manner

  • FLT licence is preferable / willingness to train
