Foundry Warehouse and Logistics Manager

At an exciting time in the company’s history we are looking to recruit a Warehouse and Logistics Manager for the Foundry division within the group to lead, plan and develop the Warehouse team.

This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated, customer centric professional who can demonstrate the ability to adapt to business needs. You will hold overall responsibility / accountability for the warehouse functionon a day to day basis overseeing process control improvements to minimise errorsrequiring minimal input from senior management.

The successful role holder will be from a warehouse / logistics management background with the ingenuity and impetus to drive change, deliver and exceed on performance and financial KPI’s within the business ensuring the highest standards of safety at all times.

Occasional travel to customers and suppliers across the UK may be requested for business reasons

Your bit…

  • Plan / organise the daily work schedule to be carried out in line with work instructions
  • Supervise all aspects of work and individual performance for the team, providing guidance and mentoring ensuring all working practices are safe and comply with company H&S standards
  • Guarantee prompt and timely deliveries to all customers, continually monitoring delivery performance
  • Hold full accountability for the operating budget and control of costs for the function
  • Manage all aspects of stock control, ensuring correct inventory levels and system accuracy
  • Produce KPI reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to monitor efficiencies
  • Attend regular operational meetings with Senior Management
  • Direct involvement with strategic and continuous improvement projects within the warehouse function

What you need to do it…

  • Previous supervisory experience in a Warehouse Management role is essential
  • Flexible, adaptable in difficult circumstances and thrives on change
  • Continuously strive to achieve results
  • Confident, highly organised with excellent problem solving capability
  • Excellent attention to detail and an eye for accuracy
  • Tenacious, driven and enthusiastic approach with excellent communication skills
  • Previous Experience of ERP/ WMS system would be advantageous
  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft office – Word/Excel/Outlook
