Thomas Dudley Works is the foundation on which all five great Thomas Dudley businesses are built. It provides the manufacturing capability for our UK made products as well as exciting product development technologies such as computational fluid dynamics and finite element analysis.
Thomas Dudley Works also supports Thomas Dudley businesses with essential support functions HR, Marketing, Finance, Purchasing and IT where the variety of working with and supporting five businesses keeps every day feeling fresh.
Our purpose as a business is to improve the welfare and skills in our community through long-term investment in responsible UK manufacturing. This is because we believe that British manufacturing provides great employment opportunities for our whole community whilst also strengthening the technical skills and knowledge of our employees. Indeed, we believe maintaining those skills and manufacturing capabilities within our country also strengthens the UK as a whole.
The support we offer starts at an early age by engaging with local schools. We have several programmes that include careers in the classroom, work experience and tours of the foundry and plastics to name a few. By engaging early with the students we have the ability to show them what is available to them and how work and their school work actually support each other. We know that Thomas Dudley isn’t going to be right for everyone but knowing what is there for students can help later on when they have to make decisions that can frame their working career.
