What is a dual flush button?

A dual flush button features two buttons that can flush different amounts of water. The main purpose of a dual flush button is to save water. The dual flush button allows the user to control the waste water. The smaller button (half flush) delivers a smaller volume of water than the larger button (full flush).

What is a single flush button?

Often found in older toilet cisterns, a single flush toilet consists of just one button that flushes the same amount of water each time it is pressed. A single flush valve can use up to 12 litres of water per flush.

What is a pneumatic flush button?

A pneumatic (also know as air operated) button is a more efficient and modern mechanical type flush button. When the flush button is pushed, the connecting cable pulls up the flush valve, the water is forced out of the cistern and into the toilet bowl and the valve drops back down. As long as the pneumatic tubes are connected to the outlet valve, a pneumatic push button can be fitted.

What is a cable operated button?

A cable operated push button allows it to be positioned on the front, top or side of the toilet cistern.

Are all flushing valves compatible with single and dual flush buttons?

Older cisterns often have valves that require a single flush button. TYDE supply both single and dual flush buttons to fit the compatible cistern.
